Easter Programme returns in 2026
We are delighted to introduce Bede's Easter Programme running for students aged 12-17 from 22 March to 11 April 2026 at our Dicker centre.
This immersive three-week programme will see students experience lessons, sports & activities, social events and excursions that are closely aligned with Bede’s students needs and interests. Bede’s put the student experience and safety before all else and therefore the unrivalled sporting and excursion programme will ensure each and every student can get the most out of their time at the camp.
- Why choose Bede's Easter Programme?
Easter break is the ideal time to enroll your child in an English language course because it offers the perfect balance of authentic cultural immersion and intensive study without the peak-season crowds and costs of summer. Bede's Easter Plus course will also offer a more intimate learning environment, contributing to increased interaction with teachers and a higher ratio of staff to students for personalised attention. It is therefore a smart and cost-effective way for your child to rapidly boost their fluency while experiencing British life and culture as spring begins.
- What is included in the course?
Bede’s Easter Programme is a carefully-crafted two week course with 22.5 hours of English lessons per week, including English Skills, Enrichment and Research Project. Lessons are designed to improve students’ general language competencies, including grammar and vocabulary, with a focus on communication, fluency and building confidence in the speaker.
Sports & Activities (Afternoons)
After lessons, students participate in a variety of sports and recreational activities. At Bede’s, we believe that students learn just as much outside of the classroom as they do inside of it. Our on-site activity programme is key to this. Students will enjoy a wide-ranging and engaging set of activities that make the most of the high-quality facilities that the Bede’s Summer School sites have at their disposal. Bede’s Summer School understands that all students have different interests and our programmes are designed to have something for everyone that works to the social and cultural benefit of our students combining sports, arts & crafts and challenging competitions – students will be able to choose their preferred sport or activity.
Examples are: Football, Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Cooking, Jewellery Making, Yoga, Arts & Craft, Aerobics, Rounders, Card Games.
Social Events (Evenings)
Social Events are always the perfect time for students to mix and enjoy themselves with their new international friends. At Easter, they may include: Disco, Karaoke, Mini Olympics, Bede’s Got Talent, Games Night, Movie Night and Easter Egg Hunt.
Excursions (Weekends)
Excursions are an integral part of the Bede’s Easter Programme. We offer students a complimentary mix of cultural visits, shopping and amusements, to ensure that each and every student gets the most out of their experience at Bede’s. Excursions are full-day trips which take place on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday excursions will see the students going to London to see the major sights and attractions of the capital. Sunday excursions will allow the students to visit another place of interest in the South of England, such as the city of Brighton where they will be able to enjoy a seafront stroll and some supervised shopping time in Brighton Lanes.
Academies
Students will be able to complement their Easter course with extra optional Academies, either Tennis or Horse Riding.
Horse Riding
Students on the Bede’s Horse Riding Academy will have a riding lesson and rides in the local countryside, under close supervision. The instructors are experienced in teaching young teenagers for whom this may be their first time on a horse as well as catering for more advanced riders. Students also have the opportunity to learn about caring for horses, grooming and stable management after their rides.
Tennis
Bede’s Tennis Academy offers students the opportunity to improve their tennis skills and technique. Sessions will specifically look at offensive and defensive actions as well as how to position on court and improve their tennis ability.
