Parents
Parents that have enrolled a child on to the Little Explorers course in Eastbourne are eligable to join the Parent Programme (only available at Eastbourne).
Parents will be placed in a class depending on their English level. Classes will be mixed with other parents from different nationalities to help ensure that English is being spoken throughout the lesson.
The teachers leading these lessons will ensure that all parents can get the most out of their experience.
Leisure Programme
A Leisure Programme is included on two afternoons per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to give parents the chance to enjoy light activities and short trips in the local area.
Examples may include:
Afternoon Tea, The Hydro Hotel | Charleston House | Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail | Herstmonceux Castle | Country Pub Lunch | Royal Pavilion, Brighton | Seven Sisters Country Park | Shopping in the Lanes, Brighton | Theatre Trip | Towner Art Gallery | Visit to Bede's Senior School.
English Lessons
English lessons are available for the parents of day students in Eastbourne who would also like to improve their English. We offer lessons in small groups (see Registration Form for details).
Classes are designed to improve parents’ general language skills, extend their vocabulary and better their understanding of grammar to improve accuracy when producing spoken and written English.
The choice of materials for the English lessons for this course is tailored in house by our academic team to ensure parents are given the best opportunity to enhance their English skills.
The groups are small (max. 8 students in class) which enables the parents to immerse themselves in the English language and culture and exchange their point of view with the teachers and other classmates.
