Bede's has been operating successfully for 25 years and is considered a Centre of Excellence by the EL Gazette.  The Summer School aims to provide an outstanding summer experience to all of its students such that they become more confident in their English abilities and motivated to continue learning long after they leave Bede's.

We understand the importance of our staff and how they play a fundamental part in helping us achieve our continued success.  We consider every role we recruit for equally important and pivitol to enable the students not only to improve their English but to also build confidence and take away memories which will last a lifetime.

Free Accommodation 

As part of the employment package, Bede's Summer School offers all employees free Accommodation during their employment.

This extra is worth £42 per week.  Equivalent to an annual allowance of £2184

Free Meals

All Summer School staff will be entitled to free breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

At a few of our sites the award winning caterers Holroyd Howe have been selected to ensure catering excellence and provide staff and students an exceptional culinary experience.

Use of Sporting Facilities

During permitted times staff will be allowed to use the centre sporting facilities such as squash and tennis courts, sports hall, astro turf, swimming pool and gym (Sporting facilities will vary centre to centre)

Eye Care Tests

Any employee who regularly uses a VDU (computer or laptop) as a significant part of their normal work (e.g. daily, for a continuous period of an hour or more) is entitled to receive an eye care and eyesight test every two years. Anyone who is employed by Bede's as a minibus driver (as their primary role) will also be entitled to request an eyesight test.

The Trust has recently introduced an Eyecare Voucher Scheme with a company called Edenred. Their Eyecare Vouchers are accepted by the majority of opticians so there is flexibility in where you go for your eye test. Following your eye examination, if the optician recommends that spectacles are required specifically for your VDU work, you will also be able to benefit from a Spectacles Voucher (value of £55.00). You can add to this amount to select the frames of your choice.

Childcare Vouchers

The School has a childcare voucher scheme with KiddiVouchers.  Childcare vouchers provide an easy way for working parents to save on the cost of childcare. Suitable for children up to age 15, childcare vouchers can be used for a wide range of care, from nurseries and child-minders through to holiday camps and breakfast clubs.
