What centres offer the Cambridge PET exam?

Dicker

How will this benefit your son/daughter?

A Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) qualification shows that the candidate has mastered the basics of English and now has practical language skills for everyday use. This exam is the logical step in the language-learning journey between Cambridge English: Key (KET) and Cambridge English: First (FCE). Candidates will also gain a valuable qualification recognised worldwide.

Where and when will this exam be taking place?

We are proud to announce that our Bede’s Dicker campus is a recognised, accredited exam centre by Cambridge English. Therefore, the exam will take place at Bede’s Dicker on Tuesday 25th July 2017.

How will the exam work?

Students must have a B1 level of English to enrol onto the programme; this will be confirmed before enrolment. The course runs for a minimum of 2 weeks and a 3-week programme is also available. Dedicated exam preparation will take place instead of English Skills and Enrichment lessons, providing students with 17.5hrs of preparation time per week before the exam. The exam tests all four English language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking. The process, technique and time management required to pass the exam will be addressed during the preparation weeks, as well as some practice tests.

How much will the exam cost?

The cost of this exam will be an additional £300 (2 weeks) or £400 (3 weeks) to be paid at the time of booking. This will include all tuition for preparation, the exam and certificate, which will be sent to you by post.
