Handcross Park School, which is just 12 miles / 19 kilometres from Gatwick Airport, is set in 50 acres / 20 hectares of beautiful parkland, gardens and playing fields. The outdoor facilities make Handcross the ideal place for a programme that uses the natural environment to stimulate learning.
Dates & Fees
The centre is open for 6 weeks in total, from 8 July to 18 August 2018. Students can arrive on any Sunday and depart on any Saturday.
The recommended minimum stay is two weeks. To maximize the benefit of your experience, you should consider a 3 or 4 week course.
A 10% discount is available on the weekly package price on stays of 5 weeks or longer.
The fully-inclusive course fee is £1,075 per week.
Age range 10 to 14 yrs. Maximum 50 students per week from different countries. Limits for each nationality to ensure a good mix.
There is a full programme of lessons, sports, activities, social events and excursions, all of which are mandatory and included in the fee.
There are 20 hours of lessons per week (see Timetable) including English Skills, Enrichment and Explorations. Maximum 10 students per class. Weekly progress checks to monitor students' performance.
The Outdoor Classroom will be used for some lessons and activities in the Forest School which will stimulate students' curiosity for the natural environment.
8 levels are available, from Complete Beginners (A0) to Proficiency (C2). Entry test on Monday with a speaking, grammar and writing component.
The Trinity GESE exam is available. 5 hours of dedicated exam preparation in place of Enrichment. Minimum 2 week course. Exam on Fri 20 July or Fri 3 August 2018. Exam takes place at Handcross or Dicker centre. Confirmation of a place on an Exam Course is subject to availability.
